One step at a time...11-Oct-2016
On Monday 10th October, we were visited by the incredible Bonita Norris, the youngest British woman to have climbed Everest and trekked to the North Pole. Bonita is an inspiration to both children and adults alike and it was a pleasure to hear her talk about the journey she has been on. Bonita presensted to our Year 11 students in the afternoon and told them all about the lessons she learned during her planning and eventual climb of Everest. She told the students that she has learned the importance of keeping going, one step at a time, to dream big and never give up; all excellent life lessons. Our community event in the evening was well attended and everyone had a brilliant time.
Thanks to all those who came along and many thanks to Bonita for a lovely day :)
