From 8th til 11th March, Mrs Rae and Mr Tyson, along with Year 8 students Hannah Leece and Hannah Manson attended the 2nd Science Girls European Project meeting at The Platon School in Katerini, Greece.
After an early start the four arrived at Manchester Airport and are travelled to Thessaloniki via Brussels.
As part of the meeting, both girls will gave a presentation to our European Partners on what the group have been up to since the last meeting in November and will meet with other students from schools across Europe.
After finally arriving in Greece on Wednesday evening and they were met by our Greek Partners. They went to the shopping mall in Thessaloniki for a bite to eat and a quick look around before travelling on to the hotel in Katerini.
On day two, the team spent the day at The Platon School in Katerini where the girls have had a chance to meet girls from Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Slovenia and Greece.
Both girls presented, to both students and adults, what they have done over the last four months in the Science Girls club.
That evening they all went to a lovely Italian restaurant for dinner.
On the final day, they spent today again at The Platon School. While the adults spent the time planning the next phase of the project the girls spent the time together working on Robotics. During the afternoon they had some free time to have a walk around the centre of Katerini to do some shopping.
For their final evening the hosts from Greece took the group to a traditional Greek style restaurant followed by a lovely walk back to the hotel where everyone headed for an early night ready for the long journey home.
The whole team arrive home safely Saturday tea time with lots of stories to tell about new friends made.
