British Science Week10-Apr-2017
Students have been helping with an international project to document and record penguin numbers (Gentoo, Chinstrap, Adelle and King penguins) along the Southern Ocean and Antarctic Peninsula. The data is to help scientists establish baseline information to enable them to measure the effect of climate change, fisheries and direct human disturbance. Well done to all those students who participated and helped to beat the national target of 250,000 photographs studied during British Science Week.
During British Science Week students also participated in competitions, brainteasers and lessons based on this year’s theme of ‘change’. Many have collected their digital Science Week participator badges – well done!
