Class of 2017: Leavers’ Assembly31-Jul-2017
From Mrs Roseblade:
The Leavers’ Assembly is always a great opportunity to say our final goodbyes and this year was no different. It was great to be able to recognise that as a body of learners, Year 11 rose to the challenges laid down before them, not least of which were the new and an increased amount of examinations. At our Leavers’ Assembly, Mrs Currie and I told the group how they have often both amazed and baffled us. Throughout the year they made us laugh, cry and they have made us feel very proud. It has been an honour to watch them mature and grow.
The year group had taken time to vote on a range of awards including most likely to rule the world (Rob). It was great to see how happy both the nominees and winners were. They wore their medals with pride. They then took part in the age-old tradition of shirt signing. Many lovely comments and interesting pictures appeared. I am sure that these will be treasured and looked back on with fondness.
