Big Writing Programme
BIG WRITING PROGRAMME
Over the past few years Furness Primary schools have been immersing their children in Big Writing, a programme designed to create fluent and self-checking writers.
It focuses on 4 main aspects of the writing process VCOP: vocabulary, connectives, openings and punctuation.
The whole-school cross-curricular programme has been hugely successful and popular with staff and children alike.
Furness Academy is involved in partnership with our Primary and Secondary schools in developing Power Writing, the secondary counterpart.
