Reading Focus

Please find attached the instructions for using Microsoft Word to measure the readability of documents that students read. It's another tool to help us check that our work on developing reading skills is properly focussed. Every piece of text that students read should be assessed for their readability - so that we support students in developing their reading with an appropriate level of challenge.The instructions are for Word 2007 - but this function is available on all versions. If you have an earlier version, use the 'help' function to find out how to switch on the 'readability'. It's really interesting - if you've never had a go before, check how accurately you can predict the outcome.
